TETRA Radio Servicing
Sole Engineering’s TETRA Radio range includes the TH9 TETRA Radio Portable (Ruggedized, IP65 Protection Class, 1.8 Watts Output Power, Clear Sound and Excellent Audio, Interoperability TETRA System) and the TH9 EX (ATEX and IEC-Ex certification for both gas and dust, used in oil and gas, petrochemicals and steel industries as well as rigs, airports and harbours). TETRA radios require specialist servicing knowledge — the Service Centre handles configuration, programming, and repair for these systems.
The TH9 TETRA portable has a Li-Ion 1900 mAh battery with estimated battery life of up to 19 hours in 5/5/90 usage mode, up to 16.5 hours in 10/30/60 mode, and up to 25 hours on standby. The TH9 EX uses a Li-Ion BLN Ex-2U 1960 mAh battery with up to 15 hours in 5/5/90, 14 hours in 10/30/60, and 17.5 hours on standby.

Digital Trunked Radio Service — SMC NETWORK
The Digital Trunked Radio Service. Segi Maju Consortium Sdn Bhd (SMC) was incorporated on 19th February 2008, a licensed alliance between Segi Maju Sdn. Bhd. (SEGI) and Stars Associated Sdn. Bhd. (STARS). SMC is licensed by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to provide digital trunked radio services under Network Facilities Provider and Network Service Provider licences (NSP/I/2000/89 and NFP/I/2000/89) issued on 5th December 2008. On 21 May 2009, SMC launched its digital trunked radio service, DART, meeting the communication needs of the public and niche market users.
